(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ رَابِعٍ) بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ وَفِيهِ، فَأُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَقٍ وَالْعَرَقُ الْمِكْتَلُ فِيهِ تَمْرٌ، قَالَ: ((اذْهَبْ فَتَصَدَّقْ بِهَا)) الْحَدِيثَ
(Fourth chain) It is narrated: A basket was brought to the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in which there were dates. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Go and give this as charity, … .
Brief Explanation
Benefits: ... "‘Araq" and "Zinbeel" are both measures, each of which holds fifteen sa‘ (plural: su‘) of dates. For ease, we have translated it as "basket." The weight of one sa‘ is two kilograms and one hundred grams.
