Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Thalabah bin Su’eer ‘Udhri (may Allah be pleased with him), whose face the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had touched with his hand and who had met many Companions, he says: The Companions used to forbid me from kissing (my wife) out of fear that I might go beyond that to something further, and today’s Muslims (the Tabi’een) also prohibit it (absolutely), and (as evidence) they say that the protection which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had from Allah Almighty is not for anyone else.
