Hadith 3727

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The pre-dawn meal (suhoor) is blessed, so do not abandon it, even if you only take a sip of water. Indeed, Allah the Exalted and the angels send mercy upon those who partake in suhoor. That is, Allah sends mercy and the angels pray for the descent of mercy.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is astonishing that a person is eating food, and because of this food, Allah Ta'ala is sending mercy upon him, and the angels are supplicating for the descent of mercy upon him. In reality, these are the blessings of fasting (sawm), and every matter related to fasting becomes blessed.
