Narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the night comes from the (east) and the day departs towards the (west), then it is time for the fasting person to break his fast. The intention of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the east and the west.
