بَابُ مَا جَاءَ خَاصًّا يَنْقُصُ الشَّهْرُ مَعَ قَوْلِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَهْرَانِ لَا يَنْقُصَانِChapter: What Has Been Reported Specifically About the Month Being Shorter, Along with the Saying of the Prophet: "Two Months Do Not Decrease"

عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قِيلَ لِعَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رُؤِيَ هَذَا الشَّهْرُ لِتِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، قَالَتْ: وَمَا يُعْجِبُكُمْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ؟ لَمَا صُمْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا صُمْتُ ثَلَاثِينَ
Saeed says: Someone said to Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): O Mother of the Believers! The crescent of this month has appeared on the 29th day. She said: Why are you surprised at this? Of the fasts I kept with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), there were more months of Ramadan with 29 days than those with 30 days.
