Hadith 3691

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not fast one or two days before Ramadan, except for a person who habitually fasts on a particular day, then he may fast on that day.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If a person is already accustomed to fasting on certain days, then in accordance with that habit, he may fast before Ramadan. For example, if a person has the habit of fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, and Thursday happens to fall on the 29th or 30th of Sha'ban, then such a person may fast.
