عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَرِيفٌ مِنْ عُرَفَاءِ قُرَيْشٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مِنْ فَلْقٍ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَشَوَّالًا وَالْأَرْبَعَاءَ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَالْجُمُعَةَ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ))
A chief of the Quraysh narrates from his father that he heard these words from the blessed mouth of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: Whoever fasts in the months of Ramadan and Shawwal, and then fasts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, will enter Paradise.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In “falqi fi”, “falq” means splitting and fissure, and “fi” means mouth. The Companion’s intention is that he heard these words directly from the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
