Hadith 3646

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One of the gates of Paradise is called Rayyan. On the Day of Resurrection, it will be announced: Where are those who fasted? Come towards the gate of Rayyan. When the last of them has passed through, this gate will be closed.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … "Rayyan" means satiated and quenched; it is the opposite of "Atshan" (thirsty). In this regard, both literally and in meaning, this name was most appropriate for the gate of those who fast.
