Hadith 3642

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a similar hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), except that it also contains these words: For the fasting person there are two joys; when he breaks his fast, he is happy, and when he meets Allah Almighty and He rewards him for it, he will be happy.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The reason for happiness at the time of breaking the fast is the completion of the act of worship, its being free from invalidators, the hope for reward and recompense, and the removal of hunger and thirst through various foods and drinks. And the reason for happiness at the time of meeting Allah Ta‘ala is witnessing the reward of this deed and remembering the blessing of Allah Ta‘ala by which one was granted the ability (tawfiq) to perform this act of worship.
