Narrated from Sayyiduna Sulayman bin Amir Dhabbi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Giving charity to a poor person earns only the reward of charity, but giving charity to a relative earns two rewards: one for maintaining family ties and the other for charity.
