Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever among the Muslims spends a pair from his wealth in the way of Allah, the gatekeepers of Paradise will welcome him, and all of them will call him towards themselves. I asked: What does it mean to spend a pair? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For example, if he owns slaves, then two slaves; if he owns camels, then two camels; and if he owns cows, then two cows.
