Hadith 3588

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهُمْ ذَبَحُوا شَاةً، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! مَا بَقِيَ إِلَّا كَتِفُهَا، قَالَ: ((كُلُّهَا قَدْ بَقِيَ إِلَّا كَتِفُهَا))
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that they slaughtered a goat (and distributed its meat), then I informed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: O Messenger of Allah! Only a shoulder of this goat’s meat is left. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In reality, all of it remains except for this shoulder (which is lying in the house).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This was the conception of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), that a servant’s true treasure is that which he distributes among those deserving for the sake of Allah, the Exalted. Subhan Allah! The meat that was distributed among the people was, in fact, deposited in Allah’s bank, in which it is increased so much that a single date becomes like a mountain.
