It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This world is lush and sweet. If we give someone more than his share with a cheerful heart and without his greed, then there is blessing in it for him. But if we give someone something reluctantly and because of his greed, then there is no blessing in it for him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … While in this chapter there is a severe condemnation of asking people (for help), at the same time, in cases of necessity, this act has also been deemed permissible. However, the reality is: what connection do these blessed ahadith have with our lives? What are these lofty statements trying to make us understand, and what aspect of ours are they seeking to protect? To truly feel this, indeed, requires a great conscience—one that possesses the capacity to grasp what the demands of honor are in society, and what forms disgrace can take. The misfortune is that, in our society, those whose eyes are fixed on the pockets of others are completely devoid of any sense of Islamic honor and social dignity, and are living an unconscious life. In this matter, some individuals from the religious class associated with mosques and madrasas also need to pay considerable attention.
