Hadith 3530

Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not persist in asking; by Allah! Whoever asks me and then his request causes me to give him wealth, there will be no blessing in it for him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The wording of the narration in Sahih Muslim is as follows: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: ((By Allah! No one among you asks me for anything, and his request causes me to give him something from myself while I am unwilling, then there will be no blessing for him in what I have given him.)) That is: "By Allah! Whoever among the servants asks me for something, and his request causes me to give him wealth, while I am disinclined, then there will be no blessing for him in what I have given him."
