(Second chain) A similar hadith is narrated, however, in this it is mentioned: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: «اللّٰہُأَکْبَرُ» This is exactly what the Children of Israel said to Musa (peace be upon him), as Allah Almighty has said: «اِجْعَلْلَنَآاِلٰہًاکَمَالَہُمْاٰلِہَۃٌ» (O Musa! Appoint for us a god just as they have gods.) He said: Indeed, you are a people behaving ignorantly. (Al-A'raf: 138) Surely, you will follow the ways of those before you.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning of these ahadith is that just as the Jews and Christians persisted in disobedience, rebellion, and opposition to their prophets and messengers, in the same way, individuals from your (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) ummah will adopt the same attitude towards the Qur’an and Hadith. In the last hadith, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) himself clarified this with an example. This prophecy of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was fulfilled word for word, and just like the People of the Book, individuals from the Islamic ummah committed every kind of sin, for example: various forms of shirk (associating partners with Allah) and bid‘ah (religious innovation), unsound imitation of imams, bribery, betrayal, discrimination between the high and low in society regarding the implementation of Allah’s limits, concealing and adding to verses and ahadith for personal motives, making false interpretations of them, creating self-made standards of lawful and unlawful, making vows and offerings in the name of other than Allah, abandoning prayer, attributing false statements to the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), and so on.
