Hadith 3445

عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتٍ يَقُولُ: ((إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَقْبَلُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ))
Abu Mulaikh narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in a house: Verily, Allah does not accept prayer without ablution, nor charity from misappropriated wealth.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … For charity (sadaqah) and almsgiving (khayrat), it is extremely necessary that the earnings be lawful (halal).
