Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The purpose of this hadith is to explain the same issue that has already been mentioned in hadith number (3439). The explanation of the difficult words is as follows: "Lā jalab": Its meaning is that the animals should not be brought to the one collecting charity (zakah), rather the official (ʿāmil) should go to the place where the animals are kept. "Lā janab": Its meaning is that it should not happen that the one collecting charity sits at a place far from the owners, and the animals are brought to him so that he may calculate and collect the zakah. In view of the chapters and ahadith, this is the meaning of these words at this place.
