بَابُ الرِّفْقِ بِرَبِّ الْمَالِ وَأَمْرِ الْمُصَدِّقِ بِالذَّهَابِ إِلَيْهِ وَعَدَمِ التَّعَدِّي عَلَيْهِChapter on kindness to the owner of wealth, ordering the collector to go to him, and not transgressing against him
Hadith 3439

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو (بْنِ الْعَاصِ) رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((تُؤْخَذُ صَدَقَاتُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى مِيَاهِهِمْ))
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Zakat should be collected from Muslims at their own places.
