بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ الْبِنَاءِ عَلَى الْقُبُورِ وَتَخْصِيصِهَا وَالْجُلُوسِ عَلَيْهَا وَالصَّلَاةِ إِلَيْهَاChapter on the prohibition of building over graves, designating them, sitting on them, and praying towards them
Hadith 3277
اُردوEn
(وَعَنْهَا مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنَّ كَسْرَ عَظْمِ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَيِّتًا مِثْلُ كَسْرِهِ حَيًّا))
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Breaking the bone of a deceased believer is just like breaking it during his lifetime.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This hadith pertains to the respect of the deceased, the violation of which necessarily results in sin. In any case, breaking the bone of a deceased person does not make retribution (qisas) or blood money (diyah) obligatory.
