Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: We only came to know of the burial of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when, in the last part of the night of Wednesday, we heard the sounds of shovels and similar tools. Muhammad bin Ishaq says: The meaning of "al-masahi" is shovel.
