Hadith 3261

It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyida Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with her), passed away, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has had intercourse with his wife tonight should not enter the grave. Thus, Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) did not enter the grave.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From this hadith it is understood that a non-mahram and stranger may also bury a woman, because Sayyiduna Abu Talhah radi Allahu anhu was a stranger (ajnabi) to the daughters of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Nevertheless, the closest relatives of the deceased are the most deserving of carrying out the burial, as is stated in the noble verse of Allah: {وَاُولُوْا الْاَرْحَامِ بَعْضُھُمْ اَوْلٰی بِبَعْضٍ فِیْ کِتَابِ اللّٰہِ} (Surah Al-Anfal: 75)
