بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي حَمْلِ الْجَنَازَةِ وَالْإِسْرَاعِ بِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ رَمَلٍChapter on what is reported regarding carrying the funeral and hastening with it without running
Hadith 3194

عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ: حَضَرْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ جَنَازَةَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا بِسَرِفَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: هَذِهِ مَيْمُونَةُ، إِذَا رَفَعْتُمْ نَعْشَهَا فَلَا تُزَعْزِعُوهَا وَلَا تُزَلْزِلُوهَا
Ata says: We were at the place of Sarf with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) attending the funeral of the wife of the Messenger, Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). He said: This is Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). When you lift her body, do not move it with force or harshness.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was returning from performing the compensatory ‘umrah (‘umrah al-qada), he married Sayyidah Maymunah radi Allahu anha at this very place. The meaning of the statement of Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Abbas radi Allahu anhu is that, considering the honor of the deceased, gentleness should be shown towards him.
