بَابُ مَشْرُوعِيَّةِ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَعَدَمِ مَشْرُوعِيَّتِهَا عَلَى الشُّهَدَاءِChapter on the legitimacy of praying over the Prophets and not over the martyrs
Hadith 3149

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ: ((لَا تُغَسِّلُوهُمْ، فَإِنَّ كُلَّ جُرْحٍ أَوْ كُلَّ دَمٍ يَفُوحُ مِسْكًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the martyrs of Uhud: Do not bathe them, for on the Day of Resurrection, the fragrance of musk will emanate from every wound or blood of theirs. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform their funeral prayer either.
