Hadith 3117

عَنِ ابْنَةِ أُهْبَانَ أَنَّ أَبَاهَا أَمَرَ أَهْلَهُ حِينَ ثَقُلَ أَنْ يَكَفِّنُوهُ وَلَا يُلْبِسُوهُ قَمِيصًا، قَالَتْ: فَأَلْبَسْنَاهُ قَمِيصًا، فَأَصْبَحْنَا وَالْقَمِيصُ عَلَى الْمِشْجَبِ
It is narrated from the daughter of Ahban that when her father was afflicted with the illness of death, he advised his family that they should shroud him but not dress him in a shirt. She says: However, we dressed him in a shirt, but when morning came, (we saw that) the shirt was hanging on a peg.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In this, there is mention of the virtue of Sayyiduna Ahban radi Allahu anhu, that when his family members turned away from carrying out his bequest, Allah Ta'ala honored him and created hidden means for the fulfillment of his bequest.
