Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering a sermon from this pulpit: "O people! Refrain from narrating many ahadith from me. Whoever attributes something to me should only speak the truth and what is right. So whoever attributes to me something which I did not say, then let him prepare his abode in the Hellfire."
