Hadith 3084

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَالِثٍ) قَالَ: أَرْسَلَتِ ابْنَةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ ابْنِي يُقْبَضُ، فَأْتِنَا، … فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ مَا تَقَدَّمَ
(Third chain of narration) The daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) sent a message to him (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that her son was dying, so please come… . Al-Hadith.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From this hadith, we also learn that for offering condolences and comforting someone, this supplication should be recited: ((إِنَّ لِلّٰہَ مَا أَخَذَ وَمَا أَعْطٰی وَکُلُّ شَیْئٍ عِنْدَہُ إِلٰی أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّی، فَلْتَصْبِرْوَ لْتَحْتَسِبْ۔)) That is: “Whatever Allah takes and whatever He gives, all belongs to Him, and with Him everything has an appointed term, so you should be patient and seek reward (from Allah).”
