بَابٌ فِي تَغْلِيظِ الْكَذِبِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلَّى اللهُ عَليهِ وسَلمَChapter on the severity of lying about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
Hadith 307

عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَنْ رَوَى عَنِّي حَدِيثًا وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ كَذِبٌ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَاذِبِينَ (وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: الْكَذَّابِينَ)))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever relates a hadith from me, while thinking that it is a lie, then he will be among the liars."
