It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a grave and said: This deceased is being punished now because of the weeping of his family over him. Upon hearing this, Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: May Allah forgive Abu Abdur Rahman, he has made a mistake. Allah Almighty has said: {وَلَاتَزِرُوَازِرَۃٌوِّزْرَأُخْرٰی} (Surah Al-An'am: 164) meaning: No bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had said: Indeed, this deceased is being punished now while his family is weeping over him.
