Hadith 3026

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَوْتِ الْفَجْأَةِ، فَقَالَ: ((رَاحَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ، وَأَخْذَةُ أَسَفٍ لِلْفَاجِرِ))
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) about sudden death. He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: For the believer, it is a relief, but for the sinner, it is a seizure of wrath.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Since the believer always remembers death and remains fully prepared for it, whereas the sinner and evildoer is still trapped in the mire of his sins and has not yet even thought of repenting, death seizes him.
