Hadith 3000

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When a person's age reaches sixty years, Allah Almighty removes his excuse regarding age.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Those who reach the age of sixty are being warned that this is such a long period in which those who take heed can gather the means for a good end. If a person possesses the means for Hajj and ‘Umrah, but has not fulfilled this obligation by this age, then he should first and foremost complete this obligation. This hadith also indicates that sixty years is an expected limit for the end of life; after this age, one should await death in a good manner. In any case, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “The ages of my ummah are between sixty and seventy years, and few among them will exceed this amount.” (Tirmidhi) That is: “The ages of my ummah are between sixty and seventy years, and few are those who will surpass this.”
