(Second Chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever among you faces death, let him do so while having good expectations of Allah Almighty. A people were destroyed because of their bad assumptions about Allah Almighty. The statement of the Exalted Lord is: "This evil assumption that you held about your Lord has destroyed you, and thus you became among the losers." (Surah Ha Mim Sajdah: 23)

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In these hadiths, in reality, warning has been given against despair and hopelessness, and encouragement has been given that the servant should have good expectations and hope regarding Allah, that He will show mercy and forgive. However, it is necessary to emphasize that for this good expectation, the servant must also possess righteous deeds (a‘maal-e-salihah). The meaning and implication of these hadiths is not that a Muslim should abandon good deeds and merely maintain good expectations, because the direct and primary listeners of these Prophetic statements were the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum). We must reflect on what attitude those pure personalities adopted.
