بَابُ نَوْعٍ ثَانٍ يَتَضَمَّنُ صَلَاةَ الْإِمَامِ بِكُلِّ طَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَةً وَقَضَاءِ كُلِّ طَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَةًChapter on a second type involving the Imam praying one rak'ah with each group and each group making up one rak'ah
Hadith 2956

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَالِثٍ) قَالَ: غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ، فَوَازَيْنَا الْعَدُوَّ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
(The third chain) He says: I participated with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in a military expedition towards Najd, so we came face to face with the enemy... .
