Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, led us in the Fajr prayer at the place of Hudaybiyyah, after a night in which it had rained. When he finished the prayer, he turned to the people and said: Do you know what your Lord has said? The companions said: Allah and His Messenger know best. Allah Almighty has said: Some of My servants have entered the morning as believers in Me and disbelievers in the stars, and some as believers in the stars and disbelievers in Me. (The explanation of this is that) whoever said: We have received rain by the grace and mercy of Allah, he is a believer in Me and a disbeliever in the stars; and whoever said: We have received rain due to such-and-such star, then he is a disbeliever in Me and a believer in the stars.
