(بَابُ) الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ بِالدُّعَاءِ فِي خُطْبَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَمَنِ اسْتَسْقَا بِغَيْرِ صَلَاةٍChapter on seeking rain by supplication in the Friday sermon and those who sought rain without prayer
Hadith 2932

(وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَنَسٌ: إِنِّي لَقَاعِدٌ عِنْدَ الْمِنْبَرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ إِذْ قَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْمَسْجِدِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! حُبِسَ الْمَطَرُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
(Second chain) Thabit says: Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was sitting by the pulpit on Friday and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon, when someone from among the people of the mosque said: O Messenger of Allah! The rain has been withheld, ... ... . Then he narrated as in the previous hadith.
