Sayyida Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) says: On the day when the sun was eclipsed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became anxious, so he (in haste) grabbed the shirt of (one of his wives) and set out towards the mosque. (From behind) his cloak was brought to him, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made the people stand for a long time. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand, then bow; if a person came after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had bowed, he would not know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had bowed, due to the long standing, he could not convince himself that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had bowed. Sayyida Asma says: So I would look at the woman who was older than me, then at the woman who was weaker than me, then I would say to myself that I am more deserving to be patient over the long standing.
