Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates regarding the Salat al-Kusuf of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) made us stand for such a long time that he had never made us stand for so long in any other prayer. We did not hear any sound from him (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed an extremely long bowing (ruku‘), longer than in any other prayer, and in that too we did not hear any sound from him (peace and blessings be upon him). Then in the second rak‘ah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) did the same.
