Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to eat breakfast before going out on the day of Eid al-Fitr, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not perform any voluntary prayer before the Eid prayer. When he had performed the (Eid) prayer, he would (return home and) offer two rak'ahs.
