Hadith 280

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood in the valley of Khayf in Mina and said: “May Allah keep fresh and flourishing that servant who heard my words, then remembered them and conveyed them to the one who had not heard them. For many carriers of jurisprudence (fiqh) are such that they themselves do not possess understanding, and many carriers of jurisprudence convey it to those who are more understanding than themselves. If these three things are present, the heart of a believer does not betray: sincerity in action, goodwill towards the rulers, and adhering to the congregation. Indeed, their supplication is behind him.”
