بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَهَيْئَاتِهِمَا وَآدَابِهِمَا وَالْجُلُوسِ بَيْنَهُمَاChapter on what is reported regarding the two sermons on Friday, their manner, etiquettes, and sitting between them
Hadith 2794

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا وَبِهَٰذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ: كَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُطْبَتَانِ يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُمَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَيُذَكِّرُ النَّاسَ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I have performed prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his prayer was moderate and his sermon was also moderate. With the same chain of narration, he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver two sermons, he would sit between them, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite the Noble Qur’an in them and would admonish and advise the people.
