بَابُ الْآذَانِ لِلْجُمُعَةِ إِذَا جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَكَيْفَ كَانَ الْمِنْبَرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺChapter on the call to prayer for Friday when the Imam sits on the pulpit and how the pulpit was in the time of the Messenger of Allah
Hadith 2780

(وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ:) كَانَ الْأَذَانُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَذَانٌ حَتَّى كَانَ زَمَنُ عُثْمَانَ فَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ فَأَمَرَ بِالْأَذَانِ الْأَوَّلِ بِالزَّوْرَاءِ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), there used to be two calls to prayer (adhan), until the era of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) came and the people increased in number, so he ordered the first adhan to be given at Zawra.
