بَابُ الْجَمْعِ فِي مَسْجِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَحَدِيثُ لَا تُصَلُّوا صَلَاةً فِي يَوْمٍ مَرَّتَيْنِChapter on holding congregation in a mosque twice and the hadith "Do not pray a prayer twice in a day"
Hadith 2690

عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ مَوْلَى مَيْمُونَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ بِالْبَلَاطِ وَالْقَوْمُ يُصَلُّونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، قُلْتُ: مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ مَعَ النَّاسِ أَوِ الْقَوْمِ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((لَا تُصَلُّوا صَلَاةً فِي يَوْمٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ))
Sulaiman says: I came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was at a place called Balat and people were praying in the mosque. I said: What has prevented you from praying with the people? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Do not perform one prayer twice in a day.
