Hadith 2656

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ الصُّفُوفَ، وَمَنْ سَدَّ فُرْجَةً رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً))
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah Almighty and His angels send mercy upon those who join the rows, and whoever fills a gap in the row, Allah raises his rank by one degree.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The sending of mercy by the angels means that they supplicate for mercy on behalf of such people. These were the narrations from Musnad Ahmad regarding the matter of forming rows. Now we will mention such narrations related to this topic from Silsilah Sahihah which are not found in Musnad Ahmad, and along with them, we will also mention the impressions of Imam al-Albani.
Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha says that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Whoever fills a gap (in the row), Allah will build a house for him in Paradise and will raise him by one degree because of it.” (Sahihah: 1892, Al-Amali lil-Muhamili: Q 36/2, Al-Tabarani in ‘Al-Awsat’: 1/32/2 and similar)
