Hadith 2634

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَلِيهِ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَالْأَنْصَارُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لِيَأْخُذُوا عَنْهُ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) liked that the Muhajirun and Ansar stand close to him in prayer so that they could acquire (knowledge and practice) from him.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Muhajirun and Ansar, compared to the rest of the Companions, were earlier in accepting Islam and stronger in faith, and on account of these qualities, they were more mindful and retentive of the various states and conditions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
