بَابُ اقْتِدَاءِ الْمُفْتَرِضِ بِالْمُتَنَفِّلِ وَالْمُقِيمِ بِالْمُسَافِرِChapter on the obligatory prayer follower behind one praying voluntary, and the resident behind the traveler
Hadith 2604

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي قَوْمَهُ فَيُصَلِّي بِهِمْ تِلْكَ الصَّلَاةَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) would first perform the 'Isha prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then he would go to his people and lead them in the 'Isha prayer.
