بَابُ جَوَازِ جَهْرِ الْإِمَامِ بِتَكْبِيرِ الصَّلَاةِ لِيَسْمَعَهُ الْمَأْمُومُونَ وَحُكْمِ التَّسْمِيعِ مِنْ غَيْرِ الْإِمَامِChapter on the permissibility of the Imam raising his voice with the opening Takbir so the followers hear, and the ruling of saying "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah" by others

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: اسْتَكْأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّيْنَا وَرَاءَهُ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُكَبِّرُ يُسْمِعُ النَّاسَ تَكْبِيرَهُ … الحَدِيث
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became ill, so we prayed behind him while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting, and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) would say the takbeer and make the people hear his takbeer.
