أبواب صلاة الجماعةChapters on Congregational Prayer
بَابُ مَنْ مَشَى إِلَى الْجَمَاعَةِ كَمَا أُمِرَ فَسُبِقَ بِهَا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ أَدْرَكَهَاChapter on one who walked to the congregation as commanded but was preceded, he gets the reward of one who caught it
Hadith 2523

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ وَضُوءَهُ ثُمَّ رَاحَ فَوَجَدَ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلَّوْا أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ مِثْلَ أَجْرِ مَنْ صَلَّاهَا أَوْ حَضَرَهَا لَا يَنْقُصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever performs ablution and performs it well, then goes (towards the mosque), but finds that the people have already performed the prayer, Allah Almighty will grant him a reward equal to that of those who were present at the prayer, and this will not diminish anything from their rewards.
