It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I went to Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and she related to me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The prayer of the one who prays sitting is half of the prayer of the one who prays standing.

Benefits: … In these blessed ahadith, the distinction between performing prayer standing and sitting is being clarified in and of itself; otherwise, a person who is accustomed to performing prayer standing, and due to some excuse is compelled to perform it sitting, will still be deserving of the complete reward, as is evident from other ahadith.
