فَصْلٌ مِنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷺ "مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِSection on the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: "Whomever Allah wishes good for, He gives him understanding in religion"
Hadith 242

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ وَزَادَ: ((وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا قَاسِمٌ وَيُعْطِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ))
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrated a similar hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but with this additional statement: "I am only the distributor, and the Giver is Allah Almighty."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … That is, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the distributor of the religious knowledge—sometimes he teaches the Qur’an and sometimes he narrates hadiths. As for the matter of understanding (fahm), jurisprudence (fiqh), reasoning, and deduction (istidlal wa istinbat), this is a bestowal from Allah Ta’ala, and He has not restricted it to any particular era or individual.
