عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ يَسِيرُ حَتَّى إِذَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَأَظْلَمَ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ عَلَى أَثَرِهَا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ
Umar bin Ali says: (On one occasion) Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, kept walking until the sun set and it became dark. Then he dismounted, performed the Maghrib prayer, and after that performed the Isha prayer, and said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do the same.
