بَابُ أَفْضَلِ الْأَيَّامِ لِلسَّفَرِ وَتَوْدِيعِ الْمُسَافِرِ وَإِيصَالِهِ وَالدُّعَاءِ لَهُChapter on the Best Days for Travel, Bidding Farewell to the Traveler, Escorting Him, and Praying for Him
Hadith 2297

(وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنْ قَزَعَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَرْسَلَنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ: تَعَالَ حَتَّى أُوَدِّعَكَ كَمَا وَدَّعَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَرْسَلَنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَقَالَ: أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللَّهَ دِينَكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ
(Second chain) Qaza'ah says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sent me for some task and said: Come here so that I may bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) bade me farewell when sending me for some task. Then he took my hand and said: I entrust your religion, your trust, and the end of your deeds to Allah.
